BRIEF
A bowl with a lid and pedal to maintain cat-food’s freshness after it is served, for mass production.

SOLUTION
A cam mechanism was created which enabled the cat to operate the lid via the pedal

• In the Summer, flies choose moist cat food in which to lay their eggs. The cat may return to eat contaminated food. This is harmful to cats and can cause illness. The Cat Flip denies access to flies so the food is not contaminated.

• The food is accessible to cats at all times.

• The Cat Flip reduces the smell of cat food.

• The bowl is manufactured by Pacific China Industries, Ltd. in plastic. With only three components, it is very easy to clean. It can be put through a dish washer.

I saw the Cat Pedal-Bowl on the BBC last night. What an excellent idea! To my mind, the fact that it will cut down on food odour filling a room is wonderful - I know that is the one thing that my mum dislikes when putting out the cat food, as the smell then tends to fill the house. It wouldn't with the Pedal-Bowl! Wishing the Pedal-Bowl every success!
